Kabila agrees to UN deployment
The abrupt about-turn by the Congolese government and its attitude to the international peace process for the country has taken many observers by surprise. Within the space of 24 hours, the government of President Laurent Kabila first announced that it was suspending the application of the Lusaka peace accords, then it approved the deployment of UN military observers. The BBC's Bill Hayton reports.
