Heche 'perfect' after sunstroke scare

American actress Anne Heche is said to be in good health and back at work on a film in Toronto after receiving hospital treatment for sunstroke at the weekend.

Heche - who recently broke-up with her partner Ellen DeGeneres - was found wandering in a confused state in rural California at the weekend.

It was sunstroke, that makes you a little dizzy - no drugs

Producer Mark Burg

But according to Mark Burg, producer of Heche's new movie John Q, the actress is now feeling "absolutely perfect" and back on set receiving wardrobe fittings.

Burg refuted speculation that Heche, 31, had been under the influence of drugs when she was picked up at the weekend.

"It was sunstroke, that makes you a little dizzy - no drugs," Burg told Reuters news agency.

"She was in a convertible and ran out of gas. So she was in the sun too long. Her neck and shoulders are still badly, badly burnt."

Heche's film credits include I Know What You Did Last Summer, Donnie Brasco and Six Days, Seven Nights alongside Harrison Ford.

Hospital drama

But she is just as well known for her 3½-year relationship with DeGeneres, the star of comedy series Ellen.

Hollywood's most famous same-sex couple announced they had split up on Saturday.

A few hours later, Heche wandered up to the front door of a private house in Cantua Creek in Fresno County, California, and made strange comments to the residents.

Media reports suggested Heche's state of mind and subsequent hospital treatment was related to her break-up with DeGeneres.

The parting was however said to have been "amicable".

Hospital records reveal Heche was discharged after spending two hours at the medical centre

Now back at work on John Q, Heche is concentrating on her role as a hospital administrator in the film.

She stars alongside Denzel Washington in a part which sees her refusing heart transplant treatment to Washington's 10-year-old son because he does not have medical insurance.

Washington's character then proceeds to take over the emergency room and hold the operating team hostage until they agree to perform the procedure.

Filming in Toronto is expected to last up to two months.
