Tourists charged in Bali drugs bust

On the Indonesian resort island of Bali, 12 foreigners - most of them European - have been charged with drug offences following their arrest earlier this week.

Police say they confiscated 2.5 grams of cocaine, and 10.2 grams of hashish when they raided a party at a rented villa.

The group - seven French citizens, three Italians, one Swiss and a Moroccan - were charged after drug tests proved positive, and remain in custody.

Two of those detained told the French news agency that they deny all the charges and challenge the test results. They could face 10 years in jail if convicted.
