Bulgaria expels more foreign businessmen
The authorities in Bulgaria have ordered eight Yugoslav citizens to leave the country accusing them of threatening state security. The Yugoslavs have a week to leave or face being deported. The expulsions follow a ten-year ban from Bulgaria last week of five Russian businessmen. Bulgaria state radio reported that six of the eight Yugoslavs expelled were also businessmen who had invested large amounts of what it called 'money of unclear origin'. The BBC Central Europe reporter says the authorities have accused the men of being linked to international criminal groups and of plotting to destabilise the country.
