MONEY BOX TEAM
Money Box is produced by a team of experienced and dedicated people working in BBC White City in West London.
Chris joined Money Box early in 2000. As a senior producer he is involved in selecting stories for the programme and he produces in the studio as it goes out live. He is also a reporter on Money Box. Before joining the programme, Chris worked in the BBC's Business Programmes department, producing and reporting on financial stories for Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live!. Before that he worked for BBC local radio and commercial radio.
Stephen has overall responsibility for Money Box as Editor of Weekly Business Programmes. After studying Physics at Leeds University he joined M&S as a management trainee then the BBC, working for 10 years on the World at One and PM. In 1988 he was given control of the R4 "In Business" programme - which he still edits. He lives in London and West Sussex
Jennifer came to work on Money Box in November 2000 after a spell as a producer on Radio 4's arts programme Front Row. Before that she produced the business news on the Today programme on Radio 4 and Wake Up To Money and Financial World Tonight on Radio 5live. She has also worked on Radio 4's In Business programme. Jennifer read English at Oxford and then studied for a masters degree in radio production at Goldsmiths College. Before joining the BBC, Jennifer was Weekend Editor at LBC radio.
Louise Greenwood Producer
Vincent has been broadcasting on personal finance for the past 25 years. He launched Money Box in 1977 and Money Box Live in 1990, and he presents the programme in alternate months during 2000/2001. He has written for The Daily Telegraph, The Times and the The Independent. His many awards include the Unit Trust Association best financial journalist of the 1980s and the FT Harold Wincott Foundation broadcaster of the year in 1992.
Jessica investigates potential stories, briefs the presenters, checks facts, sets up interviews, and assists the producer in the studio. She also updates our web pages. Jessica joined the BBC in 1996 and moved to Money Box last year having worked as a researcher and broadcast assistant on other current affairs and business programmes including Inside Money, Nice Work, Law In Action and Analysis.
Penny started life at the BBC over six years ago as a production assistant for Radio Business Programmes. From there she went on to be a researcher for the summer series, Inside Money, and then to BBC local radio for London, as a reporter and newsreader. She's now back at Moneybox, as a producer, getting expert answers for listeners on Moneybox Live on Mondays, and making sure the Saturday Moneybox audience is kept up to date with the latest personal finance news and issues.
Di researches stories and background information, prepares briefings, finds interviewees, assists with studio production and updates this website. Before joining Money Box Di worked on a variety of current affairs programmes including the Radio 4 Debates 'Them & Us' and the 5 Live Report !. She also researched Nice Work, Lost Leaders and The Week on Radio 5 Live.
In addition to the regular staff, a number of reporters work with us from time to time. |
