Iranian editor released on bail
The chief editor of a banned magazine in Iran, Ezzatollah Sahabi, has been released from detention on bail. Mr Sahabi -- who edited the pro-reform Iran-e Farda magazine -- was charged with insulting the supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. He's also been held in connection with a taking part in a conference in Berlin earlier this year which outraged many Iranian clerics. A number of delegates to the conference have been charged with acting against national security, spreading propaganda and insulting Islamic values. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
