More clashes in Afghanistan
The opposition Northern Alliance in Afghanistan says Taleban forces have attacked its fighters in the village of Baharak. A spokesman said the Taleban came within two kilometres of the town before being pushed back. Baharak is about twenty kilometres north west of Taloqan -- a major Northern Alliance base which came under fierce attack at the beginning of the month. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
