German economic slowdown
A new survey of German companies says business confidence is now at its lowest since November. The single European currency, the euro, fell below ninety cents for the first time in two weeks on the report from the IFO research institute. The BBC business correspondent says the report is being taken as a further sign that German economic growth is slowing down, making a rise in European Central Bank interest rates less likely.
