Brought to book
	He brought its crime rate down to a 30 year low. But now his reputation is in tatters. Not because of his womanising, or his health, or consequent withdrawal from the Senate race, but because of two new books which attack his entire record in office. They claim he manipulated the crime figures, and anyway, the rate is creeping up. The BBC's Jane Hughes reports from New York.
