Death toll rises in Indian flooding

At least forty-four people have been killed and well over a million left homeless in flooding in the north-eastern Indian states of Assam and Bihar.

Bridges and power lines have been washed away and many buildings are under water.

Relief camps have been set up and helicopters have been dropping food into isolated areas.

Further flooding is expected as all rivers in north-east India are flowing at above normal levels.
