Twenty die in Chinese explosion

An explosion in an apartment building in China has killed at least twenty people and injured another twenty-six.

Reports say the blast was caused by a firework maker who was taking explosives into his apartment in Jiangxi province.

Investigators suspect that someone may have been smoking near the explosives.

In June this year, about seventy people were killed in an explosion at a fireworks factory in the southern Guangdong province.
