Mladic blamed for Bosnia massacre
The International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague hears evidence directly implicating the Serbian Commander, General Ratko Mladic in the killing of an estimated eight thousand Muslims in 1995. They were killed when Serb forces overran the United Nations designated safe haven of Srebrenica, in Bosnia Hercegovina. The enclave was supposed to be under the control of Dutch UN peace keepers. At the War Crimes Tribunal, the Bosnian Serb general, Radislav Krstic named the Serb army officers who he claims were responsible for the Srebrenica massacre. The Balkan analyst Chris Cviic believes the naming of General Mladic is a major development.
