Moluccas: call for foreign intervention |

| This is the first time a state-run organisation has called directly for foreign intervention in the region, where fighting between Christians and Muslims has killed about 4000 people. The commission said the peacekeeping force should be made up of civilian police, preferably from Indonesia's south-east Asian neighbours. The BBC's Richard Galpin reports. |
