Speight in court tomorrow

The Fijian rebel leader, George Speight, and his leading supporters, are expected to appear in court in Suva tomorrow Saturday.

It was not immediately clear what charges they will face.

Mr Speight is currently facing charges of unlawful assembly, the illegal burial of a body and consorting with people carrying illegal firearms.

Mr Speight held the ethnic-Indian prime minister, Mahendra Chaudhry, and many of his ministers hostage for eight weeks in the Fiji parliament building.
