Six killed in Kosovo violence

Six people have been killed overnight in Kosovo in three separate attacks.

The victims include three members of a Roma or gypsy family, who were killed by a booby-trap mortar set up outside their house, and a fifteen-year-old Albanian who was shot.

The killings come just a week after Kosovo Albanian and Serb leaders signed an agreement in the United States aimed at putting an end to inter-ethnic tensions in the province and reintegrating the separate communities.

Before last night's violence, K-For officials were saying there had been a reduction in violence, with an average of four to five murders a week.
