More rebels rounded up in Fiji
The armed forces in Fiji have rounded up another band of armed men loyal to the rebel leader, George Speight. Thirty rebels were seized by the army in an operation near Dreketi on the island of Vanua Levu. Witnesses said they heard shots but there are no reports of casualties on either side. The army said it was pursuing other rebels who fled into the bush. There had been a spate of attacks by ethnic Fijian militants on Fijian Indians living in the area prior to the army operation.
