Croatian Serb arrested for war crimes

The Croatian news agency says that police have arrested a man in connection with alleged war crimes.

The news agency says the man, Slavko Drobnjak, was a member of a Croatian Serb parmilitary unit in 1991 when Croatia broke away from the former Yugoslavia.

The agency says that Drobnjak -- who has already been found guilty in absentia -- is wanted in connection with an incident in which fourteen Croatian police officers and soldiers were executed.

Drobnjak is reported to have been arrested at home near Sisak, south of Zagreb.

The agency says he returned there last month after living in a refugee camp in Yugoslavia.
