MMSI will use the internet to provide data for clients
An internet marketing company is creating 400 new jobs in Glasgow over the next three years.

In a major expansion, Marketing Management Services International, is also hoping to open offices in other parts of the United Kingdom, Germany, the Middle East and the United States.

MMSI was founded by Gerald Michaluk 12 years ago and now employs 20 people full-time and 100 part-time.

It has developed what it calls a unique global market advantage system using the internet to provide data for clients.

Following a successful marketing trip to California, MMSI is planning a major expansion.

The firm is looking for staff with language skills
The company's refurbished offices in Wellington Street will be opened on Thursday and 400 new jobs will be created there over the next three years.

The jobs will be mainly full-time and for graduates, many of whom will be language specialists.

The announcement follows plans by two other companies to create a further 900 new technology jobs in Scotland.

American telecommunications company ADC said last month it was planning to create more than 600 additional jobs just months after it arrived in Glenrothes.

High demand

Perth-based insurance company CGNU said it was adding another 300 jobs at a new call centre to be built in the town.

ADC, which announced it was setting up a £27m factory in Glenrothes in February with the creation of more than 1,000 jobs, said it will take on the additional staff over the next two years.

It said that demand for its products was so high that it needed more staff.

An estimated 400 workers will be employed on the assembly lines, with a further 130 taken on as more highly skilled technicians.
