Six Spanish trekkers robbed in Nepal
Police in Nepal say suspected Maoist rebels have robbed six Spanish trekkers in the western hill district of Gorkha. The trekkers and their two guides were surrounded by a group of men who released them unharmed in exchange for one-thousand dollars and a camera. There's been no word from the rebels and no arrests have been made. The Maoist rebels have been conducting a violent campaign for the past four years to replace the constitutional monarchy with a communist republic, in which more than fourteen hundred people have been killed.
