Car bomb outside ambassador's home

A bomb has exploded in a car outside the residence of the Philippines ambassador in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

At least one person was killed and several others injured in the blast, in the city's Menteng area, where several diplomatic premises are located.

Initial reports said the car belonged to the ambassador, but it's not clear if the envoy was travelling in the vehicle.

The motive for the attack is also not known.

Nearby buildings, including the ambassador's residence, were damaged.

A large black cloud could be seen above the district shortly after the explosion.
