Close-Up: Cambodia's cyclo drivers

In an ongoing series, BBC News focuses on aspects of life in countries and cities around the world. What may seem ordinary and familiar to the people who live there, can be surprising to those who do not.

For more than 70 years the cyclo has been a feature of the Cambodian transport system - but they are now under threat from an increase in motorised transport.

Cyclo riders earn very little, and many use their vehicles as beds to save money.

Guy Delauney reports from Phnom Penh.
