Opening Haiti's port 'essential' for reconstruction

Efforts to rebuild Haiti's main port are being stepped up in an effort to ensure emergency supplies reach millions still in need of aid.

The US is attempting to create a new landing spot so that heavy machinery can be brought in to help with the reconstruction and relief effort.
