Clashes reported at Iranian rally

Iranian state television says the security forces in Tehran have broken up an opposition demonstration and arrested a number of people.

The demonstration happened at the same time as an official rally to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the seizure of the American embassy during the Islamic Revolution.

Police reportedly fired tear gas and batons to disperse the opposition supporters.

This footage was not recorded by the BBC and therefore the BBC cannot verify its authenticity.
