Thousands of car workers in Gurgaon, near the Indian capital of Delhi, are on a one day strike to protest against the death of a worker.

Dozens of car firms have been affected by the strike, called by the All India Trade Union Congress.

A worker at the Rico Auto Limited factory died on Sunday during clashes between two groups of workers at the factory over trade union issues.

Workers have been protesting at the Rico factory for about one month.

Gurgaon is one of India's biggest automobile hubs and has two of the country's largest vehicle manufacturers.
