Obama tries his hand at fencing

US President Barack Obama tried his hand at fencing at an event at the White House to boost his hometown Chicago's prospects of hosting the 2016 Olympic Games.

The president announced he will not attend the meeting on 2 October in Denmark at which a host city will be named, but his wife Michelle will be there.
