Indian fisherman stranded for six hours

Rescue teams in India took six hours to save a stranded fisherman after heavy rains lashed western Maharashtra causing river levels to rise.

He was one of four fishermen stuck on a rock with strong currents circling them after the downpours.

Police and fire crews from Pimpri and the surrounding region managed to rescue three of them, but the last fisherman was stranded for a total of six hours before a helicopter was able to lift him to safety.
