Boxer Ali on his Islamic conversion

Boxer Muhammad Ali speaking in March 1974, discusses Islam, money and the perils of Las Vegas in this rare archive footage unearthed after 40 years.

The film, which is being restored by the Associated Press, forms part of a time capsule of news from the 1960s and 70s recently uncovered from beneath General Eisenhower's wartime London headquarters.

Ali discusses his Islamic beliefs with reporters in Beirut and explains how his face has stayed scratch-free despite 180 fights.
