Former Turkish PM may face court
A parliamentary committee in Turkey has voted to send the former prime minister, Tansu Ciller, to appear before the Supreme Court on charges of corruption. Mrs Ciller is accused of using money from a government fund designed to be spent on national security on her True Path Party. The committee's decision needs to be approved by parliament. Mrs Ciller has denied any wrongdoing. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
