| Beijing and Belgrade issue a joint statement condemning the West for attempting to impose, what it described as a "unipolar world order" on other countries. As the BBC's Glenn Thomas reports, the statement comes at the end of talks between the Yugoslav president, Slobodan Milosevic and Li Peng, chairman of the Chinese Parliament, who is on a tour of the Balkan region. |
