Dutch trying to work out their problems

Dutch coach Frank Rijkaard has been endeavouring to work out what went wrong in his team's opening Euro 2000 foray.
"I ran laps with some of the guys to try and feel them out," said Rijkaard, who took the opportunity to speak to Phillip Cocu, Clarence Seedorf and Edgar Davids. "You want to speak to them and hear from them what they are thinking. What they think went wrong against the Czechs. "The victory over the Czechs was a relief but at the same time the players realise it was pretty much because of luck that they won. "You have to make sure they are moving forward and not thinking only of their last match," added the Dutch coach.
"It was so strange, we're not sure what happened," said Dennis Bergkamp. "We started so well and then suddenly things just turned around. Maybe it was a case of pulling up, maybe we dropped the tempo. "We don't really know, but we need to find out. We can improve, we can do it," Bergkamp added. But Bergkamp knew that the most important thing was picking up the three points, and Ronald de Boer, who won the penalty that decided the game, had no doubts about its validity: "I had momentum because I was pulling against him," said De Boer. "It was when he let go of my shirt that I fell, but he did pull my shirt."
