Wins for Italy and France

FOOTBALL: In Sunday's matches in the Euro Two-Thousand championship, Italy beat Turkey by two goals to one, and France -- the world champions -- won three-nil against Denmark.

The joint-hosts, the Netherlands, beat the Czech Republic by one goal to nil.

And in TENNIS, the Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten has won the men's singles title at the French Open in Paris.

His Swedish opponent Magnus Norman saved ten match points, but Kuerten eventually won by three sets to one. The victory puts him on top of this year's world rankings.
