Indian fighter crashes

An Indian air force MiG-27 fighter plane has crashed into a house and exploded in the eastern town of Midnapore.

Military officials say three people, including the pilot, were injured in the accident.

Correspondents say the Indian air force has a bad safety record which experts have blamed on poor maintenance and ageing equipment.
