Euro 2000 quaterfinalists decided

FOOTBALL: The eight teams to contest the quarter finals of the European Football Championships being played in the Netherlands and Belgium have been decided.

In the final games of the first round, Spain beat Yugoslavia four-three in a thrilling game with two goals in the last few minutes; both teams go through.

In another exciting match between two countries that had already qualified, the Netherlands beat France by three goals to two.

They will join Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Romania who had clinched their places in the next round earlier this week.
