Serbian minister dies in car crash
The Serbian education minister, Milivoje Simonovic, has been killed in a car crash south of the capital Belgrade. The Yugoslav official news agency, Tanjug, said Mr Simonovic had died on the Belgrade to Nis motorway near the town of Velika Plana after apparently speeding and losing control of his car. The agency said his car turned over, broke through the barrier between the two carriageways and collided with a car coming from the opposite direction. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
