Zahovic desperate to move
![]() Zahovic: unsettled as opener approaches
Slovenia's top goalscorer Zlatko Zahovic is desperate to sort out his club football future ahead of Euro 2000.
Zahovic, the undoubted star of the Slovenian team, has been banned from playing for his current club, Olympiakos, after swearing at the coach earlier this year.
"My manager is looking for a club. We would like to find something before the Yugoslavia game," he said, adding he would like to go to a Spanish side. Zahovic says he looks back on his time at the club as a "positive experience for life". "If I resolve my problem before Europe I will be 100 percent fit," he said. Zahovic also said he would consider going back to Portugal but only to his old club, champions Porto. |
