Group D friendly form
![]() Denmark celebrate qualification for Euro 2000
Managers like to tell you there is no such thing as a friendly in
international football. So, results since qualification for the European Championships should provide a fair reflection of who will be among
the runners and riders in Holland and Belgium over the next month. BBC Sport Online takes a look at the friendly form of those in Group D of Euro 2000.
Is the 'D' for death or delightful? The toughest group brings together the over-achieving Czechs, following their perfect qualification and with a promising set of results since. The Dutch seemed to have been lethargic in waiting for the real action to start but still with impressive results behind them. World champions France have hit form at the right time. The plodding Danes seem to be lacking star quality since the Laudrups' retirement.
