Group B friendly form
![]() Belgium's recent form has been promising
Managers like to tell you there is no such thing as a friendly in
international football. So, results since qualification for the
European Championships should provide a fair reflection of who will be among
the runners and riders in Holland and Belgium over the next month. BBC Sport Online takes a look at the friendly form of those in Group B of Euro 2000.
The arrival of new manager Robert Waisege last year has transformed the hopes of Belgian fans. They have beaten Italy and twice held their more illustrious neighbours Holland and they look the in-form team to progress from this group. Alongside them will probably be Italy if Dino Zoff's men can overcome the loss of Christian Vieri and revert to the form they usually reserve for competitive action. Sweden appear stymied by a lack of adventure and the 11th-hour inclusion of Henrik Larsson, after his severe injury, could be deemed a desperate measure.
