Spain move training sessions
![]() Casillas thinks Peter Schmeichel is Europe's top keeper
Spain have opted to conduct their training sessions at the same time of the day as all their first round matches.
The three games in group C, against Norway, Slovenia and Yugoslavia, start at 1700 BST (1800 local time), a potential problem for a country where big matches are almost always played late at night. After initially training in the morning, Spanish coach Jose Antonio Camacho will now lead one session a day in the afternoon. "The games are set for 6pm and we just have to accept it," said Spanish skipper Fernando Hierro. "At least the heat shouldn't be a problem because we're used to playing league games in the afternoon."
Meanwhile, Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has lamented the absence of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who broke his hand last week and is out of the tournament.
"He's my favourite goalkeeper and it's a real shame he's not here," said the 19-year-old Casillas, who has made such an impression at Real Madrid this season, ultimately collecting a Champions League medal. "The other keeper I always look out for is Peter Schmeichel. He was my role model when I was younger and, in the absence of Buffon, he's definitely the best keeper here."
