Zidane wants a double

As France approach their opening game in Euro 2000 against Denmark, Zinedine
Zidane has expressed a strong desire to repeat the success of the 1998 World Cup.
The French playmaker has mixed feelings, ranging from gentle modesty to huge ambition. "I am not the important one. The most important thing is France," Zidane insisted. "I'm just a player among the others. I'm only one eleventh of this team. I just have to do my job, like (coach) Aime Jacquet used to say." He is, however, very much aware of the importance of his own contributions.
"Of couse, I can be very influential because of my position on the pitch. I can do a lot of things." Having helped France to overcome the odds and win the World Cup in his home country he is keen to add to his medal collection. "You must not stop there. You must chase for something else," he added. "France are strong because they don't need anything. They just have to feel well. Proved strong "We have all we could want. We proved we were very strong (in 1998) and we will have to prove it again throughout this competition. "We don't fear anybody if we are 100 per cent mentally strong." With the Danish game only days away, Zidane summarised his thoughts. "We are not going to win 3-0 and if we go out there thinking that, we would be all wrong. "We possess a far stronger side than in 1998 but we must not carry any superiority complex."
