Congo fighting rages on

Fighting is continuing between Ugandan and Rwandan troops in the city of Kisangani, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, despite a ceasefire agreement. The UN says that both sides had agreed to stop fighting on Thursday afternoon, but several hours later the two armies were still exchanging heavy artillery fire.
