Israeli activists removed from Arab village
Israeli police have evacuated most of the right-wing Jewish activists who set up an outpost in the Arab village of Abu-Dis, outside Jerusalem, on Wednesday. Israel radio said police drove most of the activists away in police cars but a group of about ten locked themselves in a vehicle. Police eventually removed them as well. There were no further details. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
