Lara fails yet again
Lara
Lara continued in spectacularly poor fashion
Brian Lara failed again to produce the goods as the West Indies were bowled out for 97 in their second innings on the second day of their match against Glamorgan.

The county side are now left with the relatively simple task of chasing 134 in order to record a memorable win against the tourists.

Lara scored just 11 runs before England off-spinner Robert Croft claimed the West Indian's wicket for the second time in the match, trapping him leg before wicket.

Croft ended the match with figures of eight for 70.

Lara's tour to date has been a poor one, scoring a total of three runs in three innings, before his 11 in the second innings at Glamorgan.

Resilient Jacobs

The West Indies had a lead of 36 from the opening innings, but they soon slumped to 20 for four in the second.

Captain Jimmy Adams and Ridley Jacobs battled valiantly to restore some pride, sharing a fifth-wicket stand of 50 off 120 balls.

Adams was dismissed for 13 to the fast medium bowling of Alex Wharf, who eventually took four for nine.

The resilient Jacobs was top scorer with 43 off 100 balls.

Earlier in the day, the West Indies had a good time with the ball, with leg spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo taking four for 12 off 19 overs to help reduce the home side to 140.

Nixon McLean and Reon King each took three wickets.
