Bacteria holds key to river blindess

An international group of scientists claim to have discovered the key to wiping out river blindness. The drug that is currently used is difficult to administer in developing countries because it has to be given to patients for 15 years. It is hoped that the new research will lead to a cheap treatment that can be given over a few months.
