We want to see the world through your eyes, to experience the everyday sights that capture your imagination across the planet.
We are asking anyone with a camera to send in their digital pictures.
We will be featuring many in a series of themed picture galleries in the coming months.

Current themes
At the moment we are specifically seeking photos with the following themes:
Please interpret the brief as widely as you can - don't just think of the obvious.
Remember we are looking for compelling photos that will grab our attention.
Instructions on how to send your pictures can be found in the box on the right; please include the name of the theme your picture relates to in the title subject heading of your e-mail.
Remember to add your name and a caption, who, what, where and when should be enough, though the more details, the better your chance of being selected.

.
In contributing to BBC News you agree to grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media worldwide. The BBC cannot guarantee that all pictures and/or video will be used and we reserve the right to edit your comments.
At no time should you endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or infringe any laws.
You can choose any subject to photograph, but don't forget to ask permission from parents or guardians if the subject is under 16.
