New violence in troubled Nigerian city

There has been renewed violence in the city of Kaduna, in northern Nigeria, three months after hundreds of people died in sectarian fighting between Muslims and Christians.

Youths rampaged in southern districts of the city, setting fire to buildings and cars.

At least one person was killed.

The BBC correspondent in Nigeria says Kaduna has become increasingly segregated since the violence in February, which was triggered by plans to impose Islamic Sharia law locally.
