New religious clashes in northern Nigeria
Troops have been deployed in the northern Nigerian city of Kaduna after fresh clashes between Christians and Muslims. At least one person is known to have been killed. Kaduna was the scene of serious clashes in February, after the Nigerian authorities announced the introduction of Islamic Sharia law in several northern states.
