Hasselbaink keen on return
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is relishing the prospect of a return to the Premiership - with Chelsea believed to be leading the chase to land the Dutch striker.

Hasselbaink will quit Atletico Madrid after their relegation from Spain's Primera Liga and has his eyes on a return to Britain.

"I've had many offers but it now looks as though my future is sorted out," Hasselbaink said.

"I want to be involved at the highest level this season. With Atletico going down to the Second Division I know that back in Britain I can carry on at the top."

I'm a Hammer - Lampard

Frank Lampard admits he is "flattered" by Leeds United's interest in him, but insists he wants to stay with West Ham.

The 21-year-old England international, who signed a five-year deal last summer, fears Hammers boss Harry Redknapp may be forced to cash in on one of his stars to finance a £30m ground redevelopment.

"Leeds are not the first club I have been linked with," Lampard said.

"But I am a West Ham player - it is as simple as that. I signed a five-year contract last summer, so that shows how happy I am here."

Albertz fires warning shot

Rangers midfielder Jorg Albertz insists it would be "stupid" of the champions to write off Aberdeen's chances in the Tennents Scottish Cup final.

Albertz said: "I think people are not expecting Aberdeen to lose four or five nothing.

"Everybody knows this is a cup final and it is a totally different game from the league.

I haven't had a chance - Gillespie

Blackburn winger Keith Gillespie has admitted he felt hard done by after being placed on the transfer list by Rovers manager Graeme Souness.

The 25-year-old Northern Ireland international, who cost £2.25m from Newcastle in December 1998, has been put up for sale at Ewood Park along with Per Frandsen, Nathan Blake and Darren Peacock.

"I don't really think I've been given much of a chance since Graeme Souness came in," Gillespie said.

"I played against Fulham, Birmingham and Sheffield United and that was the last game we won. But it's the manager's decision and that's life."
