McCain introduces running mate

US Republican Presidential nominee John McCain has introduced Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Senator McCain believes "devoted wife and mother of five" Sarah Palin is exactly what his party needs to help him secure victory at the forth-coming Presidential elections.

Ms Palin said it would be a "privilege of a lifetime" to run as running mate to Senator McCain, and that it would bring a new challenge, arguing that "principles and political independence matter more than just the party line".
