Aid workers leave Moluccas

Reports from Indonesia say the last foreign aid workers still working in the Moluccan islands have left from the capital, Ambon.

The workers were evacuated on Indonesian air force planes after they said the latest flare-up of violence between local Muslims and Christians made their work impossible.

At least twenty-six people have died in the renewed fighting in recent days.

Earlier, the official Antara news agency said more troops had been sent to the province, bringing the total number to around five thousand.
