Christophe Dugarry
From there, however, Dugarry's career seemed to stall. Following that tournament he moved to Milan but failed to make an impression, although a series of injuries hindered his chances. In 1997 he moved to Barcelona but immediately fell out with coach Louis van Gaal. With his World Cup place in jeopardy, he jumped at the chance to move back to Marseille. Sadly for Dugarry, he did not have the best of tournaments. Like all of France's established strikers, he found goals hard to come by and saw the midfield and defence pop up with the strikes that took the hosts to Final glory. Under coach Lemerre's current system Dugarry is expected to start on the left side of a five-man midfield, pushing forward along with Djorkaeff on the right to support Trezuguet or Henry up front. But if Lemerre decides to play two up front and revert to a straight four-man midfield, Dugarry could find himself on the bench.
